A Visit to Jyu-ga, a Haeridan-gil Restaurant in Haeundae: Enjoying Lunch with Nikku Udon and Beer

The Charm of Japanese-Style Udon Encountered in Haeridan-gil

During a trip to Busan, I visited Jyu-ga, located in Haeridan-gil, Haeundae. This is a place that offers Japanese-style udon and various Japanese dishes, famous for its clean interior and delicious food. I visited especially for the purpose of getting over a hangover from the previous night, and I was able to have a more satisfying experience than I expected.

Lunch at Jyu-ga: Nikku Udon and Asahi Beer

For lunch, I chose the Nikku Udon. I could order easily through the kiosk, and while waiting for my food, I felt the warm and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. As soon as the food was served, the rich and deep broth aroma stimulated my nose first. The Nikku Udon had the perfect harmony of chewy noodles and soft meat, and the flavor of the broth spread throughout my mouth the moment I took a bite. In particular, the addition of a soft-boiled egg enhanced the deep flavor of the broth. I was also able to enjoy it spicy yet refreshing with a generous sprinkle of shichimi pepper.

The Asahi beer I had with the food was an excellent combination. A sip of the cool beer neutralized the saltiness of the broth and whetted my appetite. The reason why I ended up drinking beer even though I visited for the purpose of curing a hangover was because of this harmonious taste. By alternating between a spoonful of broth and a sip of beer, my stomach felt refreshed and my mood got better before I knew it.

The Charm of Jyu-ga: Friendliness and Cleanliness

Jyu-ga is a place that deserves high scores not only for its food but also for its service and atmosphere. The staff were friendly, and the inside of the restaurant was clean and tidy. The bar table and seating layout were also efficient, making it suitable for dining alone or for small groups. Especially in the window-side seats, you can look out over the streets of Haeridan-gil, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing meal. Overall, I was impressed by the warm and calm atmosphere, and I was able to feel comfortable throughout the meal.

The Haeundae Sea After a Hearty Meal

After finishing my hearty meal, I headed to the Haeundae Sea nearby. Taking a stroll while looking at the sea under the clear sky made me feel refreshed. Lunch at Jyu-ga, which blends well with the vibe of Haeridan-gil, was an experience that amplified the joy of the trip beyond simply filling my stomach. The combination of delicious food and beautiful scenery allowed me to have a perfect day.
